Description of Original Problem: Okay, ill start by saying this build is less than a month old, all parts are new, and this was my first time really building a pc (turned on first time im the goat I know). Getting that out of the way, my issues initially started with me upgrading my 7800x3d to this 9850x3d and I had initially gotten a -20 pbo curve going fine and everything was really stable until I was seeing that I had 8 threads instead of 16. I spent hours trying to figure out why and I was using google search ai to figure this out (big mistake), as I ended up reinstalling windows to try and give myself a fresh slate, but I had to do it multiple times as I kept dealing with corruption issues. (btw I now know it was just x3d turbo or whatever its called in the bios im an idiot) I did literally hours upon hours of troubleshooting just for the corruption till I made a new usb install and that fixed my corruption on windows. After that my system was still really unstable as I would initially crash doing just about anything, afk a game? crash. Open up firefox and discord too fast at boot? crash. Try and fix my corruption from these crashes through means such as cmd prompt dism restorehealth and sfc scannow and all that, I would just crash. And these crashes were bad too, like the pc would freeze and become unresponsive and the only way to get out of it was to hold the power button until it turned off. After I got through all of that, I updated my bios from F5 to F7d and everything seemed stable and okay and most importantly I wasnt randomly crashing, until I tried turning pbo on. I started with -20 all cores because I had previously ran that just fine, bootloop city. After I unplugged everything from the psu and replugged everything because honestly I was lost at what it could be, I was stuck with code 97 on my motherboard and I couldn't even post. Spent hours trying to fix that and was like whatever let me try updating my bios offline since I still had my usb with the update and I could do it offline with the Q Flash. That actually worked and thats where I am now, everything is stable and I havent crashed since, however I only have expo on in bios and I changed my fan curve to silent because it was pretty loud. Other than that im running stock bios settings and I still have an itch to get more performance and lower temps but im convinced this cpu is either bad or something in my pc cant handle it. Is there hope for me, should I just give up on pbo, did I damage this cpu, did I luck out on the silicon lottery?
