Tip For Getting Pokemon To Go To Different Parts of Map
I see quite a few people asking how to get pokemon to go to different parts of the map that they have built and I usually see a handful of good tips. Put roads and stairs down to encourage pokemon to go farther from home. Pokemon like hot springs, so a hot spring will get Pokemon traveling to it. And because Pokemon like visiting their neighbors, spreading Pokemon across the map gets them to wander more.
But I think I have found another way to get Pokemon spread across town.
I’ve been building up a canal area in my Palette Town on the first island and put down the Pikachu Fountain at the start of the build. And then Pokemon started showing up. There’s almost always at least one Pokemon hanging around the fountain, sometimes two, even three. And these are not Pokemon who live nearby; the Sylveon in the photo lives on the other side of the island. The hot spring isn’t really nearby, and while there are houses that I’ve built that are kinda close to the Pikachu Fountain, they aren’t THAT close and Pokemon started showing up before the houses were built.
Which is to say, **I think Pokemon are attracted to the Pikachu Fountain and will show up there if you put it down.** It’s not a super strong effect; just one or two at a time. But it looks real to me. And I suspect the same is true for the Moonlight Dance statue, but I need to test that out more.
