Looking to connect with Eau Claire locals for Wisconsin documentary project
Hey all,
I’m a Wisconsin-based filmmaker currently in the Eau Claire area working on a documentary project exploring Wisconsin culture, traditions, and the places that bring people together.
Over the next couple of days I’ll be filming interviews with people/places including writers, bar owners and the Chippewa Area History Center.
One thing I’m especially interested in is the role local taverns and gathering places play in everyday Wisconsin life. I’d love to connect with anyone who has a favorite Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley bar or tavern they feel really captures the spirit or personality of the area.
Not looking for “wild drinking stories” — more interested in the people, atmosphere, traditions, regulars, conversations, sense of community, etc.
