Cat losing Patches of Fur on Paws, When Should I Take Her to the Vet?
We adopted a cat (cat, around 3 years old, neutered female, cat, 9.6 pounds. She’s up to date on all her vaccines and she is an indoor only cat.) at the beginning of March. For the past month and a half I’ve noticed she gets irregular bald patches on her paws. The patches are not red or inflamed, and the fur slowly grows back. Other than the patches, I can’t see any symptoms: she urinates and defecates regularly, eats and drinks with gusto, and likes to cuddle or hop up on the windowsill to watch the fat little doves in the courtyard. (Note: We have another cat—also recently seen by a vet, healthy, up to date on vaccines and indoor only—who does not have any bald patches.)
We took her to the vet two days after we adopted her for a checkup. He said she was in perfect health besides having a little bit of dental plaque.
My question is: should I take her to the vet to ask about these bald patches asap? Should I give it a little more time? Normally I’d just go, but it’s only been two months, she was given a clean bill of health, and she doesn’t have any other symptoms.
