Posting it here because I was in the same position as you and people who got their accounts suspended and restored rarely do an update.

Monday 9:37 AM, I got hit with Account Integrity ban. Mind you - my account is more than a decade old. First time this has happened to me.

Here’s a timeline of everything I did (not sure which one worked) but it will never be those people commenting that they can fix your account. Do not believe them even if you are desperate. Only Meta and Meta alone can fix it!

MAY 18, 2026

I was asked to provide a video verification asking me to tilt my head etc. I immediately sent it.
They asked me for an ID. I was already at work and didn’t have my passport with me. I had to courier it so it took me 1.5 hours to send them my passport. No update.
Within 2 hours, I purchased the lowest tier of Meta verification on my FB account. Spoke to an actual human and they asked me for my IG handle. They checked it and said it was for IMPERSONATION. 🫠 They called me (UK number), I explained that this has been with me since 2010/11 and I’m real. They gave me a ticket number but did not promise anything.

Didn’t do anything after that except downloaded my information (which has nothing in it except my IG profile pic!)

I touched some grass! Fr guys, I was numb and in denial. My whole life was just social media (as a micro influencer). I did things without posting on social media and IT WAS REFRESHING!

I do not live in the US so no LegalShield or lawsuit option for me so I kinda gave up.

By evening:

I followed up on my ticket #. No update.
I emailed terms of service @ meta … not sure if this went through.
I filled out the Meta Outreach Form.
I followed up again on my ticket #. No update.

THEY SAID I’M BACK!!

I’m happy but still NUMB. Idk if I can ever get my spark back on these apps tbh. The fact that they can suspend you overnight is ALARMING.

Please download your information now and try to detach yourself from social media if it’s not your business/money maker.

I am (well, was) a micro influencer with 16k followers. In the past 4 days, I made 3 videos of me talking candidly about my dating experience. They were bunch of light hearted, comedy series of me just talking in front of camera. 99% positive comments.

In 4 days, I gained almost 12k followers. I was on a high. Celebrities from my country started commenting and reposting my reels. I’ve been getting emails for brand collabs.

On the 4th day of my account getting attention, IG suddenly decided to ban me for account integrity. I tried Meta support. They called me but still no resolution.

What hurts me was not the clout; I can easily get that back. It was those memories. 700 posts since 2010. Daily IG stories since 2015.

I tried downloading the information but it didn’t give me the messages, photos, etc. Maybe just 4 photos.

I don’t know if I can ever get my spark back even if they give me back my account.

It’s really sad. I’m still in denial stage.
