In early September, I was banned due to CSE policies (obviously unfairly, as I’ve never done anything like that). I filed an appeal; they asked for a video selfie and ID upload, which I did immediately. It took about three weeks, and my account was restored without issues. However, today—October 6th—Instagram suspended my account again for the same reason and has once more requested video selfie and ID verification. Is this normal? Could someone be reporting my account maliciously?

On September 6th my account had got suspended for CSE. I was really confused because I had barely touched the app that day nor did I interact with people. I immediately did the video selfie and showed a picture of my ID and they had gave me back my account 30 to 40 minutes after the verification and I had thought nothing of it afterwards. then a week later on September 12th, my account has got suspended for the same reason again. I didn’t think much of it because I was assuming it was a mistake again and immediately did the video selfie and showed a picture of my ID again but this time it took longer for it to load, but then eventually my account had it got permanently disabled due to “violating community standards”. it has been frustrating because I know I didn’t do anything. I simply go on Instagram to doom scroll on Instagram reels or text some of my friends.

On September 26th I have decided to download LegalShield and I had a phone call with my attorney on October 2nd. he told me that Instagram has been wrongfully disabling accounts and it has been happening to a lot of people and that they can get my account back. I just had to sign a form that gives them permission to send a demand letter. The only downside is that I possibly have to wait six months from my account to come back if Meta accepted the demand letter.

I am hoping somehow, someway that it only takes a month or two for that to happen instead of waiting until April to get my account back. if I get it back of course.

But yeah, this is so far my experience.

I still can’t figure out how I escaped Instagram’s endless cycle of account suspensions and subsequent disablements. So, I’m officially out of the Instagram loop, and my account is no longer suspended.

I honestly don’t know what exactly worked. There were many things the agent suggested, and I did follow them, but I still don’t know whether any of those things actually made a difference. What I did was completely stop interacting, I stopped liking, stopped commenting, and stopped engaging with posts. Sometimes I would like or comment on something, but I would remove it after some time. I’ve also completely stopped posting.

Thankfully, all my accounts are back and active. Thank God. I still can’t believe it.

I was getting suspended so frequently, about twice every month at one point. My account was suspended more than nine times and disabled around four times. And somehow, each time, it would come back on its own.

What if we can make 1k - 10k content creators all around the world to show what is going on with the AI ban system from Meta and all of them have to post in the same day/week?

There are already million of victims and the number increases each day.

I know that there might be creators that already did that and maybe still doing it. But one to ten of them posting is not going to solve anything. Media scrolling is the best way to make Meta give a damn without going legally against them that will take years and years.

À noter : Cette règle s'applique également entre deux personnes mineures. Même si les deux partenaires sont mineurs et d'accord, l'échange ou la détention de photos intimes reste interdit par la loi et passible de sanctions.

So like many of you I was banned for alleged CSE. Rather than going through the stress of legal battles and feckless AI support bots, I just let them delete my accounts and deleted all meta apps from my devices for the last 8 months.

My question is, now that I've created a new account using a burner phone number (same icloud), how long should i expect to have this account? Has anyone successfully creeped back in without getting re-suspended?

My hope is that I've waited long enough that the system does not recognize my device any longer. I know many people in real life who got suspended and were able to create a new account. I'm assuming most people in here complaining that they keep getting re-suspended are people who make new accounts right away, which alerts the system.

Today is the 50th day of being stuck in the review process for appeal 😭

To those who got SoC banned and disabled on Instagram is your WhatsApp still working fine, should we worry about WhatsApp getting disabled as well?
For context I have the same number on WhatsApp as my disabled Instagram.

I lost my main Instagram account, which was incredibly painful for me. However, after a week or so, I managed to bounce back because I found a backup from March of this year that I had made as a precaution. I tried creating several new accounts, but they all kept getting shut down. The last one I created—which went down for no apparent reason—was set up on a work computer, and I was using it normally on my home PC via the Brave browser's Tor mode. After a few days, I felt confident enough to log in on my phone using 5G, but when I eventually tested it on Wi-Fi, the account got suspended. I did have an old, abandoned account I’d created months before my main one was banned; it was created on that same phone and was still logged in, though I hadn't been using it. I decided I wouldn't access Instagram on my phone anymore and would just use that account on my PC via Brave with Tor. Yet, literally today, they asked for ID verification to check if I’m a bot, and I’m certain they’re going to suspend it again. How do they track me? Is it because of the same accounts I always follow? Or maybe I forgot to change the phone number or something like that?

Been hearing rumors of Myspace is coming back to the modern world, well I hope it's true because I am sick of using Instagram and the ban waves that is still happening today

My instagram was recently suspended, and the reason given was sickening (certain kind of "exploitation"). I am outraged, and I don't even know if I want to appeal the decision, since it would mean having to give my name and other info. I don't trust META at this point, and wouldn't want my info in their systems associated with this sick "exploitation" topic. My instagram was over 10 years old and was private from day 1. I never once posted anything on my account, and I never sent any DMs to anyone. I only ever commented on stories in other accounts (mostly news stories). I never followed any sexually-themed accounts or inappropriate content. What I lost in the suspension is years of accounts that I've been following for news and other local content, in addition to friends and family contacts that I would keep up to date on via instagram. So I haven't lost any photos or posts, as some of you have. Nevertheless, I feel a great loss of connection. I am trying to figure out how or why this happened. The only explanations I can come up with are:

1. some people didn't like my comments on news stories and sent mass false reports about my profile. I don't want to get political here, but I think this should be mentioned for the record in case it has happened to others; some of my last comments on news stories were about Israel, and many people apparently didn't like what I commented. I even got a warning from instagram that said something like "many people have reported this comment. do you want to delete it?" And I didn't delete it. Some of my comments had thousands of likes and many responses, with many in agreement and many angry about what I said. Even though I'm American, I was accused of being a "bot from Qatar" by pro-Israel people. I thought it was ridiculous. I could imagine people who didn't like my opinion somehow mass reporting me falsely of a heinous offense, which might have triggered AI moderation. But why would it suspend based on unfounded and malicious accusations and no evidence?
2. I was hacked.

I am leaning towards explanation #2. I downloaded my instagram info, and below (see what I pasted at the bottom of this post) is what I saw under login activity 3 times listed about an hour before my suspension. Is this indication of a hacker? I don't understand what user agent "C++/THttpClient" refers to. This is such an awful situation because even a mere accusation related to this (even if it's totally false) is reputation-damaging. I can't even mention this to friends, since they might suspect that there is something to it. "I was hacked" seems like a made-up excuse, but in this case I think I must have been. Any thoughts on how to proceed or what to do to protect myself?
