I agree that she did it on purpose, but I can’t seem to understand what she was trying to do.

did she know that she would survive and made sure they didn’t have their seatbelts? this doesn’t make sense to me because she was seriously hurt and could have died. There would have been easier ways to murder them if she really wanted to do it. she seems to like herself way too much to hurt herself.
was it a suicide attempt?
did she lose her mind in the heat of the moment and stepped on the gas pedal without thinking it through? If that is the case, why was she not charged with manslaughter?

Help me out here because I’m missing something for sure!
