Just venting. I got the only piece of feedback ever in my year of working and it was bad.
I’ve been picking for almost a year. Never really got any feedback from TL or coach. Just assumed I’ve been doing good. My PR is always 120+ and I usually hit pretty close to 600 a day.
But today my TL stopped me after a 30 item pick walk right after my lunch. She said that our coach (who wasnt even at the store) mentioned to her that my pickrate was great but my number of picks were low. And asked if I had been “dillydallying out there” I just kinda frowned bc I at the time I hadn’t really looked at my stats and I thought I’ve stayed pretty busy all day. So I didn’t really know what to say other than “Huh. I mean I stay working out there, I promise”
And then I looked at my stats. 120 pickrate and like 380 items. Again, this is right after lunch, I still had over 3 hrs of work to go. And I hit right under 600 before I clocked out.
We wasn’t even that busy today. I even clocked out 15 mins early for lunch because we didn’t have any picks in the system. And I did take an extra 15 minutes on lunch and clock back in on the hour to make sure there were picks when I clocked back in.
So idk. I kinda feel like they only mentioned anything to me because we have a new guy, a picker. Who’s making everyone look bad. He must’ve transferred from another store bc I just noticed him like last week and he stays on the top of the leaderboard. He runs through the store slinging stuff in the totes like his life is on the line. He’s a total sweat. 🙄
