Favorite Korean BBQ!

Favorite Korean BBQ!

I spent most of my random eating as Korean local at smaller local places, but decided to splurge a little for dinner recently and ended up at Yookmian

It was definitely more expensive than the places I'd been going to, but I thought it was a nice change for one evening. The beef was really good, the side dishes were fresh, and the whole meal felt worth it as a little treat. I probably wouldn't eat there every day, but if you're planning one nicer Korean BBQ dinner while you're in Seoul, I'd put it on the list.

I wish more KBBQ places grilled the meat for you

I'm usually the one who somehow overcooks everything at Korean BBQ, so I always appreciate places where the staff handles the grilling😅

This was from a recent dinner at Yeonnam Bongsan, and they took care of everything from start to finish. They knew exactly when to flip the pork belly and pork neck, and every piece came out perfectly cooked with a nice char while staying juicy.

It honestly made the whole meal a lot more relaxing since we could just chat and eat instead of worrying about burning the meat. Definitely one of those little things that makes the experience so much better.

Do you prefer grilling the meat yourself, or do you like it when the staff does it for you?
