PC overheats when gaming AND when the desk is bumped/shaken. Loose cooler?

Hi everyone,

I'm facing a strange overheating issue with my PC and could use some advice. The CPU temperatures spike like crazy and coolers start screaming in two specific scenarios:

  1. When gaming (which makes sense under heavy load).
  2. Whenever the desk is bumped or shaken hard. A sudden physical jolt to the desk instantly causes the temps to skyrocket.

My current theory is that the CPU cooler might be loose, and the vibration causes it to momentarily lose contact with the CPU.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? What is the best way to safely diagnose and fix this? It is an Acer nitro 50 PC.
