My (now deceased) godmother gifted me this gong fu tea set in the 2000s, long before probably either of us knew what that actually was. I thought that tairness pitcher was for milk and comically oversized for the small cups.

Used to love the set, but accidentally broke the tea pot some years later. It was small, bamboo handle, short spout.

Now that I actually do know what all of it is for and use other sets regularly, I'm looking to replace the pot for its sentimental value. So far, I have only managed to find a different version on eBay (Picture 2)

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! The eBay listing has a sticker (?) on it (Picture 3). Unfortunately, AI does not seem to be able to get anything from this quality.

Projections are that by 2031, we will have reached complete chili self-sufficiency for our two person household. The spice must flow!

Quiet evening in, decided to go for some Vietnamese tea. I honestly think these are slept on a bit in general, but particularly the red/black ones. This one is from Hà Giang province, at 1400+ m and 100+ year old trees.

Really sweet, woody, malty, reminds me a bit of aged whites, but more chocolaty than fruity for the first 4 steeps. Almost none of the smokiness I get from the greener counterpart. At steep 5, the colour is noticeably darker with increased time and temperature, now I'm getting dried fruits, more earthy tones, maybe some buckwheat honey?

Very relaxing Cha Qi, no major caffeine kick, very doable even this late. Could get used to this!

Clean laundry. Clean person. Something underneath with character, but you couldn't say what.

A smell like a pleasant smile from a good-looking, yet austere stranger. Maybe a friendly librarian, an archivist, a priest of the non-creepy variety. Someone with a quiet, self-assured presence and some vague authority. A bit bookish and not entirely in this world, but in a good way.

However, you immediately forget the face. Not because they were unremarkable per se, but because they gave you nothing to hold onto. Just a faint memory of a generalized person in their role.

Had a sample of LAVS, which goes into the direction I'm aiming at, but maybe there's something else out there?
