Candy I got from an Asian stand at con!

It came in this wrapper and looked a bit like the second image, but it was more yellow than brown.

It was seriously magic, opened my airways like crazy. I couldn't identify the flavor, it was like menthol, maybe even ginger, eucalyptus, or tea, I really don't know. When I got to the core it was really sour.

A replacement for my cat's beloved basket 💙

I picked this basket up at a thrift store many years ago and it's one of the best purchases I ever made. My cat loves to be carried around in it and lets me know whenever she wants a ride. She loves it so much and I love it too 💙

It's broken a couple times and I've always been able to fix it (you can see the bolted on belt from when the strap broke LOL) but this last time it broke through the bottom and even though I have glued and taped the heck out of it with gorilla tape, I'm not sure it's going to last very long.

I've been looking for another one of these baskets for years and I've never found anything close enough to it. But now I'm more desperate than ever to find a replacement.

I believe it was likely a gift basket (maybe for like some spa items or something) at the beginning of its life. It's structured inside- there's a stiff cardboard material core that is then covered in a faux leather on the outside and a thin felted fabric on the inside. It used to have a built-in strap made of the same blue faux leather that came over and attached with a silver buckle on the other side.

It is approximately 17 in Long and 9 and 1/4 in wide. The shortest height on the ends are about 6 and 1/2 in and the tallest height in the middle is about 9 and 1/2 in.

It's really important that the replacement be really close to these dimensions because it's the perfect size for her to completely lay down and curl up or to lay down with her head facing up and still be able to see out. If it's any taller on the ends she won't be able to see out and I know she won't like that as much (she likes to look out while she goes for a ride lol). She's also a bit of a larger cat so it really can't afford to be much smaller 😅 and it definitely has to be structured. Some similar baskets I've found are floppy on the sides and that just will not work for her. She likes the structure because it feels like a box and it holds its shape.

Some search words I've tried:

Gift basket

Gift hamper

Magazine holder

Leather tote

Storage basket with handle

I've tried all the different image searches and no luck there either. There's some similar leather magazine holder totes out there but they are always floppy-sided and not structured and they're usually too big or too small anyway. Closest thing I've ever found is a green one that's pickup only on eBay very far away from me. If I have no luck here I might ask them if they would be willing to ship.

It has to be around the same size and be structured/stiff. And needs a carrying strap of course.

Would greatly appreciate any help or advice or fresh thoughts. Or if you somehow magically recognized what this basket was originally used for (like IDK if it was a bath& body works gift basket or something that could maybe help me)

Thank you so much for any help from me and Baby 🐾

Help me identify a forgotten skipping toy from around 2008

I’ve been trying to identify a toy I had as a child, probably around 2008 in the UK, but I can’t find any trace of it online.

Here’s everything I vaguely remember:

It came with a blue-and-white waistband/belt.
There was a white oval electronic pod that clipped onto the belt.

The pod had a speaker, no screen, and I think only two buttons.

It also came with a normal skipping rope.
The toy was mainly white with purple and light blue colours, and I think it had some floral motif.

It had an American female voice that sang and spoke.

Instead of modern songs, it played traditional skipping rhymes, including:
“Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, Turn Around”
“Not Last Night But the Night Before…”

I don’t remember if it counted your skips, but the idea was to skip along to the rhymes.

The electronics were definitely in the clip-on pod, not in the rope handles.

I’ve ruled out things like Skip-It, regular electronic jump ropes, and dance mats.

Does anyone remember this toy or know what it was called it’s driving me nuts. I have a feeling it was hard to find in the UK at the time?

HMF this teddy bear from 2015! (Devastated son)

I’ve stumbled into a nightmare parent situation. We have lost my son‘s most precious stuffed animal that he has had since he was a baby. It was gifted to him by his great grandmother in 2015/16.

It’s probably 16 inches or so long. It’s wearing a knitted Clemson sweater. Even if I could just find the bear, I will figure out the clothing issue. 🙏

Help me find these creepy/cute elf baby dolls. Are they handmade or sold anywhere?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to find the origin of these little dolls/figurines. I’m not even sure if they’re dolls, art toys, handmade figures, or something else.

They look like small baby/elf/troll dolls with pointed ears, big eyes, and yellow/gold knitted or crocheted outfits. One has a tall pointed hat, and the outfits have red mushroom-looking buttons/details.

I’ve seen IG user @flekioh post them a few times, so I messaged her to ask if she makes them or knows where they’re from, but I’m still waiting for an answer.

Does anyone know the artist, brand, shop, name, or any keywords I should search for? I’d love to know if they can be bought anywhere.

Thanks!

How would I go about finding a Disney suitcase I had ~20 years ago?

It was basically fluorescent pink/peach with colourful polka dots in the sides. I don’t know what character(s) were in the front unfortunately. I could probably confidently rule out tinkerbell as my sister had a tinkerbell one and it was different.

I’ve tried emailing Disney but they just replied a standard corporate reply advertising their current products, didn’t even read what I wrote.

Does anyone recognise it? Or know what I could put into google to find it?

Help me find the original Chinese creator/vlogger of these dog cooking videos?

I always see this creator's videos being reposted on TikTok (like the "sleepy_panda" account in file 1000026069.jpg), but they never credit the original source.

It's an ASMR-style cooking vlogs where a woman prepares incredibly elaborate, gourmet meals for her and her two dogs, a blonde Labrador and a light-colored Golden Retriever.

The original videos have Chinese subtitles, so she is likely a creator on Douyin or Rednote. Does anyone know her official Chinese social media handles or a reliable archive channel where I can watch her original videos? Thank you!

Snowman Mug

My husband adores this mug and I cannot find it online. It’s gotta be early to mid 2000s. It has seen better days. No branding, just “microwave safe” text on the bottom of the cup.

HMF the holy grail of timers! I swear it has to exist

I've been trying to find, for Years, a timer that I swear should exist but somehow doesn't seem to??? Turning here in yet another attempt at manifesting it from the digital ether.

This timer:

  1. is a physical object, not an app (in my head it is analog but digital would be copletely fine)
  2. is Silent - it doesn't tick as it counts down
  3. Dings once when it's done (not beepbeepbeep. *ding*. just one)

It really feels like this object should exist, but as far as I have been able to find it does not. Please please please prove me wrong

Big Tom’s Stars & Stripes Beef Hat!

Big Tom was a contestant on Survivor Africa, and he had this vintage beef hat from the “Beef, it’s what’s for dinner” campaign.

My wife loves Big Tom and talks about this hat regularly. I don’t know why it’s so special, but she has loved it since the season premiered 25 years ago.

Things have been not great for us lately and I’d love to be able to surprise her with it.

I’ve google image searched it and found an old inactive ebay listing, but nothing else. At this point I’m willing to pay to have it custom made if necessary.

HMF The Origin of This Wolf GIF

Some friends of mine have been circulating this gif around on Discord, but nobody knows where it originates from. I don't know what was searched to find it, but I'm assuming it was first found on the built-in discord gif searching tool. Reverse image searching didn't lead anywhere for me, but maybe I'm just a noob

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to identify this strike plate (keeper) from an aluminum sliding window. I live in Brazil and I've already searched many hardware stores and window suppliers, but nobody recognizes it.

I've included photos and measurements. Does anyone know the manufacturer, model, or if there is a compatible replacement available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Help me find the teapot to this set

My (now deceased) godmother gifted me this gong fu tea set in the 2000s, long before probably either of us knew what that actually was. I thought that tairness pitcher was for milk and comically oversized for the small cups.

Used to love the set, but accidentally broke the tea pot some years later. It was small, bamboo handle, short spout.

Now that I actually do know what all of it is for and use other sets regularly, I'm looking to replace the pot for its sentimental value. So far, I have only managed to find a different version on eBay (Picture 2)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/125934164478 , as well as the pitcher in a giveaway Facebook group.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! The eBay listing has a sticker (?) on it (Picture 3). Unfortunately, AI does not seem to be able to get anything from this quality.

Can anyone help me find this author and book? I’ve read the first one but I’d like to read the second one!

I bought the first one a couple years after it was released. Found both books and the author on Goodreads but I haven’t been able to find anything on contact information for the author, or where I can read the book. Other people obviously have read it because they left reviews. I’ve been looking for this book for over 10 YEARS. Please help 🥲
