Difference between fights

So I started playing this game yesterday and while I'm loving it, I'm having so many doubts at the moment, the main one is the difficulty changes.

I finished chapter 1 yesterday and while in random encounters that I trigger I win with ease, whenever there was a story fight I normally had to try at least twice and couldn't kill all of the enemy team, just had to focus on the objective and that's it. In fact, the final fight of chapter 1 where I fought Argath, it was one of his teammates who killed him with a thundaga while I was next to him with Ramza and it was the third or fourth time I tried the fight.

This is not a complain at all, I just want to know, I love grinding and even more if the game has so many possibilities and I can change so many things between fights. Is the difficulty variation between story fights and random encounters persistent throughout the game?

And a second but less important question because I suppose I'll find out as I'm playing: I had an archer who I evolved into a thief just to learn new job and see more, but I like the archer a lot more. Is it optimal to leave a character in an initial role like archer, or is it better to just go through what you don't like in order to unlock the final jobs?

The actual suspects (1995) "mistaken" language.

Just saw this movie for the first time and, first of all, what a great movie. I guessed the twist at the end just minutes before it was revealed and felt so good about it. But that's not what I'm here to talk about. There is one "mistake" that I expected someone to have commented on, but I didn't find any comments.

In the night scene of the shooting where all of the hungarian mob is killed, the moment that Keaton is surrounded by them, he talks to them and in the subtitles it says "speaking hungarian" since, you know, they're the hungarian mob.

But the thing is what they're talking is not Hungarian, they're speaking Spanish. I'm Spanish and I watched the movie in Enlish with subtitles, so that's why I noticed. I don't know if in theatres when it came out it said "speaking hungarian", but in netflix it sure does and that's not hugarian at all.

If you're Spanish or speak it, you can clearly hear the dialogue:

Mobster: ¿Qué haces aquí?

Keaton: Nada

Mobster: Por aquí no se puede pasar

Keaton: ¿No se puede pasar por aquí?

Translated

Mobster: What are you doing here?

Keaton: Nothing

Mobster: You can't pass through here / You can't be here (first is the most literal translation, second is the one that sounds more natural in that situation)

Keaton: Can't pass through here? / Can't be here?

Nothing really big, but it's a small detail that I found funny and wanted to share.

Chocobo minimap

So I've been playing this game for the last week and I've loved every second of it, truly a great game. There is just a couple of things about the chocobos I didn't understand.

First question: when I get out of the chocobo forest for the first time mounting the chocobo, is there any way I can get off the chocobo without the yellow point being on the minimap? It's not important but it bothers me seeing that yellow point there all day.

Second question: I've just got the chocographs for the first time and found the first pretty easily. After this, I've found three more chocographs but I think they're very far away. So the question is: how can I get to more places with the chocobo if he can't go past some cities or swim or anything?
