So I signed up to a level 5 TEFL with TEFL.org a while ago. It is the level 5 TEFL. I took a break but decided to finish it with the new update. I am now starting to get interested in teaching in Asia (particularly South Korea or Japan) in a government run public school. I am debating if I will need a CELTA or a Trinity instead to do this?

I originally signed up to TEFL.org years ago and trusted the accreditations but didn't realise how limiting it would be until now? Is there any point to two level 5 TEFLS? e.g. my current tefl.org one plus CELTA/Trinity. Or is there a way I can top up my current qualification to meet CELTA/trinity standards? I'm not sure how the best way to approach this is.

I know TEFL.org is stated as reliable in the Wiki but it is more of an is it enough for what I want to do question as it lacks the in person teaching (in person assessment was teaching other trainees which the wiki said didn't count). Also if I do need the CELTA/Trinity, any recommendations on which? I'm interested in teaching young people and Trinity seemed more interesting however CELTA seemed more well known?

I appreciate the thoughts of those more knowledgeable and experienced than myself.

I am currently trying to do a for a spreadsheet where each time a type of the same incident occurs, 1 is added to the correlating cell. I am struggling to achieve this. I have tried an IFS and SWITCH but neither work, I keep getting the same error.

=IFS(A5="Animals",B5+1,A5="Appliances",B5+1,A5="Electricity",B5+1,A5="Fire",B5+1,A5="Heating",B5+1,A5="Lifts",B5+1, A5="Property Damage",B5+1,A5="Water",B5+1, A5="Other",B5+1)

=SWITCH(A5,A5="Animals",B5+1,A5="Appliances",B5+1,A5="Electricity",B5+1,A5="Fire",B5+1,A5="Heating",B5+1,A5="Lifts",B5+1,A5="Property Damage",B5+1,A5="Water",B5+1,A5="Other",B5+1)

It keeps saying inconsistent error. If I add equal signs in front it completely breaks. If I take the B5 out they are all "1". If I keep it in they are all "0". I just want to make a tally. Can someone help please?

I (25f) have been going through a bunch of old stuff and found my old guitar hero games amongst others for xbox 360. I am now on xbix series x. I used to have the drum kit, two guitars, and microphones. Full set up. Loved these games. Unfortunately drumkit didn't survive storage and unsure of guitars atm. However when looking to see if I can convert all my games digitally I found guitar hero wasnt there at all. So I did some digging. Devastated to find out it's completely died 😭. I love going to arcades and seeing it set up. It's literally my alltime fave. I was so excited to try and locate my guitar and play, to find out no backwards compatibility, no digital version, no more replacement instruments. Nothing 😭.

I don't really think there's a solution other than getting second hand equipment and a 360 (but if there is one please let me know 😭) but just wanted to lament the loss of guitar hero (and pray for Activision to resurrect it though unlikely). Would love to hear others memories with guitar hero. RIP 🥲
