Girls trust your gut

I need to get this off my chest because 20 minutes ago a man fully masturbated at me in a dorm.

Im solo traveling for 3 months and got to a new hostel today. I was alone in the room with one guy which is not great but I try to not immediately judge. Although at this point all men are trash and deserve the dungeons.

Guy was being chatty and we talked for a bit, asked if I wanted to smoke ( I didnt). He was being a bit forward but I am pretty tolerant and pushed the weird vibes aside. I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed, glasses off ( crucial) and he asked what time it was ( sir you have a phone). I told him and he said no come here so I can see you? I poke my head around the corner and and almost 100 percent he was masturbating but as said I regretfully didnt have my glasses on. Me being not afraid of confrontation and sick of men's shit loudly go "what are you doing"? And he's like nothing and I go back to the bathroom to regroup then put my glasses on walk back out to confirm and did pretty much confirm but then a new girl walks in and he suddenly is fully under the covers.

I pull her out and say we must go, so room change and the desk was super nice and said if I could say 100 percent they would call the police but I couldn't which is really upsetting me because I would have loved for him to get taken away. Im just glad If it had to happen to someone that I am able and willing to literally fight a man and not someone younger and less sick of people's shit.

Anyways female only dorms from here on out, those have been my best experiences on the trip by far anyways.

I just wish as a women I could just exist safely and without the constant need to be aware of men. I don't care if its not all men, it's always men.

Ive had some mixed dorms experiences that were just lame but nothing this bad before :( probably be more upset when the adrenaline wears off. Remember girls you don't need to be polite and always trust your gut.

Kind of freaking out

On the way to the airport for my 930 pm flight ( making it way worse as i feel so much safer being able to orientate and see whats happening during take of and the entire trip but i couldnt find a affordable day crossing :( ) from toronto to Dublin right now to start of my 3 month europe backpacking trip. I would really appreciate some tracking later if anyone has the time (ws46 9:35 pm toronto to dublin)

I've been okay up to now but I am just getting insane intrusive thoughts, i will have no anxiety then get bad spikes and almost vomit. Like my worst ones are around takeoff and the acceleration and imaging collisions. Then midair where I feel like most people can kind of relax is bad to because I am literally sitting there tense imaging at any second the plane is going to start nose diving, something will explode, or get hit and so I sit there like the tension in my body is the only thing keeping the plane in the air. Essentially just waiting for the other shoe to drop.😅

But I do have medication that I will take about 40 minutes before boarding and again on board depending. Im not sure what im asking for maybe just encouragement so I don't chicken out because I'd much rather turn around and just stay with my dad for the summer right now lol.

Okay very open to opinions!

This is for a 3 month may 18th - aug 18th in europe june 1st onwards across canada then europe trip (hostels) doing some nature/hiking, cities, clubbing, general meandering through ...

in order - Ireland, england, scotland, Netherlands, germany, denmark, sweden, Finland, estonia, latvia, lithuania, croatia.

I will be using a the thule landscape 40 L bag and the salomon 10 L trailblazer for a day bag/day hike bag

Image one is a collage of my pants and shoes on a white background

black and blue Jeans x 2 ( I know this is controversial but you can pry them from my cold dead hands, I talked myself out of 3. I wear jeans all year round and I refuse to be walking around scandinavia in tech fabric fast dry athleisure pants 😩)

Black Satin maxi Skirt x 1

Black Wide leg Linen pants x1

Black Yoga pants x 1 (struggling for what to wear when just vibing around hostels)

Black lululemon Yoga shorts x 1 ( pjamas and hiking)

Black Linen shorts x 1

Black wide leg Hiking pants x1 (zip off to shorts)

Shoes

New Balance 530 - for everyday and hikes

Black Docs platform sandals - for everyday and going out

Black Birkenstock rubber slides - beach/shower/hostels

Image 2 is a collage of my tops on white background

I am conflicted about bringing another sweater or fleece as im worried about temp at night in the northern countries

black Tanks x 3 ( one plain black, one black harley davidson, one black salmon hiking )

black Long sleeve gapped button front cardigan x 1

black tube top x 1

black tube top with metal detail x 1

black T shirt x 2 ( oversized one doubles as sleep shirt)

Black Arcteryx rain jacket ×1

Roxy brand cropped casual zip up Sweater x 1

Image 3 is a collage of other /accessories on white background

black thong Underwear quick dry ×7

black Quick dry sock × 7 pairs

purple quick dry Sports bra (sleeping, lounging)

black grommet Belt x 1

black Sunnies x 1

Necklaces × 3

black leather shoulder Purse x 1 ( I really won't use a cross body and use this every day of my life at home and will be bringing a packable bag and tote for actually carrying things if I need)

purple sqaure fabric Scarf x1 (cover up, wrap etc)

I feel like im either really missing stuff or being crazy with to much but I am a strong believer in wearing what you wear at home and again I am not the tech fabric quick dry girl unfortunately ( apart from actual Hiking clothes). Also considering scandinavia and baltics can have summer temps around 20 - 25 which is the same as where I live i feel this is appropriate with my beloved jeans. Also impressed and realizing everything i own is black lol.

Ready for the feedback :)
