I recently bought this 24” scale travel bass , it came with roundwound 45-105 strings installed , but they feel very loose/floppy, almost like my normal bass but with much less tension
And now I’m trying to figure out what to replace them with
Has anyone dealt with this on 24”/short scaled basses?
What string gauges work better to get a more “normal bass feel”?
Right now I’m considering going heavier (like 50-110 , 55-115 ), or switching to flatwounds or tapewounds but I think it may be too much for this instrument
So what should I do ?
