Please Help - I can't get my standing desk to go down / recalibrate its height settings
I got this desk from a thrift store for like $40 like 2 years ago. During my time of owning, it got stuck at a really tall height once before and I managed to reset it somehow and it fixed itself. Except it wouldn't sit all the way at the physical bottom limit. It would always park just a little bit above it. I decided that was fine and have delt with it being slightly taller than my desk chair to the discomfort of my arms and wrists.
Well today, I felt brave and tired of my wrists hurting so I decided I was going to fix it fully and completely... this ended up going horribly wrong. I raised the desk some, power cycled it, then the software locked that height in as the floor.
I tried holding the UP + DOWN arrow buttons and it went into what looked like a calibration mode where it rose up to the physical max height, made a click sound, then began its decent. However, it stopped much shorter of the bottom and stayed about 6 inches higher than before I started trying to work on it. Great.
I kept trying to reset it in various ways. Power cycling. Holding down the DOWN arrow. Holding down both the UP + DOWN arrows. It running the calibration thing again and stopping in the exact same spot about 6inches from the bottom.
Next, I tried FULLY dismantling the desk to remove the motor to try to manually lower the legs to the bottom then rebuild it. That was a great idea except I couldn't get the fucking motor out because it's just built into the right leg. No way to remove it and manually reset it. Holy fuck.
Finally, after rebuilding it, I got the genius idea to raise it all the way to the top, power cycle it, and try the UP + DOWN reset method.... now it does not initiate the calibration mode and after holding down the UP + DOWN buttons it will just display "EEE". I've tried holding the UP+DOWN buttons down for 2 minutes longer while the EEE was displayed and nothing.
I have tried holding just the DOWN arrow button down too to no avail.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone please help?

I have no other identifying information as to what brand this is. Clearly some cheap desk from Amazon.
