DeskHaus Tabletop Warranty? Their support AI says website is inaccurate

Trying to find a straight answer here so I can decide between a DeskHaus and Flexispot.

The website says that their HPL tops have a 1 year warranty, but maybe this only applies to dings and scratches on the top surface?

I used the support chat on their website and I didn't realize it was AI at first. Call me dumb but I have used chat on websites that connects with actual people before. The chat said the rubberwood HPL tops have 20 year warranties. I found this confusing since it contradicts the website. The rubberwood top is a final-sale no-return so it seemed slightly strange to have 20 years warranty on something like that.

I emailed support and a different AI responded in <2 minutes. The email AI says the text on the website is out of date and that all of their table tops have 20 year warranty.

Now I am left with more questions than I started, and I'm hoping this sub can help me find answers.

- Do the rubberwood and HPL tops have warranties?

- Do the tabletop warranties apply to the top as a whole or only the surface?

- Is there more about the warranty policy on the website that is out of date? How out of date is it?

- If I were to buy from Deskhaus, are there ways to actually reach an employee if I need support?

Is it safe to my heavy PC on standing desk?

I recently set up my Huuger 55 x 28 Large Electric Standing Desk. It says it can support 220 lbs. My PC is a full tower rig, with the Corsair 7000D as the case. If i had to guess it weighs around ~60 something pounds.

The main ideal spot I can place it on the desk in one of the corners and I was just worried about weight distribution being a thing, if it'll damage or break the desk in any way. I did place it on it for a few minutes and seemed okay, but I wasn't sure how it would handle long term.

Let me know if anyone can confirm it'll be fine and anyone has a similar set up, thanks.

Which motor system is better for a electric standing desk? LINAK, TiMOTION, or BOSCH?

The main options I'm looking at are LINAK, TiMOTION, and BOSCH. I care most about long-term reliability, stability at standing heigh, smooth lifting, noise level, and whether the desk can last for years without issues.

Has anyone used desk with any of these motor systems before?

Thanks in advance!

Correct size desktop?

I'm making a custom L desk using two 60in x 30in butcher blocks. This means the long part of the L will be 90in, while the short part will be 60in.

I'm looking at both uplift and imovr desk frames, and I can't tell if the length of the desk matters. For example, the uplift desk frame goes up to 80in x 60in, which seems close enough, but I don't know if it'll have some weird fitting or stability issues on arrival.

So my question is: does the length of the frame have to be the same as the desktop length? Or is the 80x60 option sufficient?

Why do standing desks become completely useless once the motor fails?

I’ve been looking into standing desks recently and noticed something weird.

If the motor fails, most electric desks basically become unusable.

That seems like a huge design flaw for something this expensive.

You either:
- repair it
- replace the frame
- or get stuck with the wrong height forever

Kind of surprised there aren’t more backup/manual options out there.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a real problem?

Flexispot E7 Plus with a 30 x ? - Need Advice

I’m in the process of building a custom standing desk using the FlexiSpot E7 Plus (4-leg) frame. My office is 8' wide, and I want the desk to span wall-to-wall against an acoustic wood slat accent wall.

I have two potential paths and would love some feedback from those who have built similar setups:

The Goal: A 96" x 30" or 84'' x 30'' workstation.

Option 1: The Single 8ft Slab (96" x 30")

 • The Plan: Source a custom 96" x 30" butcher block from a local lumber yard.
 • The Concern: Most off-the-shelf blocks (Home Depot/Lowe's) are 25" deep. I know the E7 Plus frame depth bars are 23.6", so a 25" top physically fits, but I’m worried about ergonomics. Does a 25" deep desk feel too cramped for a monitor arm, keyboard, and depth for mouse movement? Has anyone regretted going narrower than 30" on a full-length desk?

Option 2: The Two-Piece Join (72" + 24")

 • The Plan: Use a 6ft block and a 2ft block to get my 8ft length.
 • The Concern: I am hesitant about the seam and the structural integrity. Does anyone have experience clamping or bolting two butcher blocks together? Is there a clean way to hide the seam, or does it eventually become a point of failure/sagging?

Option 3: Just go with a (60'' x 30'' - last option)

Specific Questions:

 1. Is 25" depth actually "too shallow" for a daily driver desk?
 2. If I go with the custom 96" x 30" slab, are there specific mounting considerations for the E7 Plus 4-leg frame to ensure the desk remains stable wall-to-wall?
 3. Am I overthinking the 30" depth?
 4. Do I need 8 ft no, but it could be nice, I could also try 7 feet, but they dont have a 7ft by 30 inch either.

Appreciate any advice or photos of similar 8ft custom setups!

What a scam! Just snagged a coupon code for 200€ off for a Flexispot E7 Pro and it won't let me finish the transaction

Thinking about reporting this to the consumer advice center. Why would Flexispot drive away potential costumers like that?

Why can't I find a standing desk with both rounded legs and rounded feet?

This image is AI, but it's honestly the kind of standing desk I've been trying to find in real life, I really like rounded shapes and softer looking furniture

Looking to buy an electric standing desk in Australia!

I’ve recently started working from home more often, and I’m thinking about getting an electric standing desk for my home setup. At the office, we use standing desks, but my desk at home is just a regular fixed-height desk. I’m based in Australia and have been looking at a few brands, but I’m still not sure which one is actually worth buying for long-term use.

Ideally, I’d love a solid wood tabletop if possible. Does anyone here have experience with standing desk brands in Australia, like Desky, UpDown, Omnidesk, FlexiSpot, or any others?

Looking for desks with a shitty companion app

Hey everyone! I've built this app to control my Ikea Idasen desk and I want to share it with the world. Now I'm looking for people that want to test it or who are unhappy with the official app for their desk.

It all started from my frustration with the official app. Now I'm happy with this app, but it only supports the one model I had available to test it against. And I'm looking to expand support for more desks.

If you're unhappy with the app for your desk then I'd love to hear from you 👇.

Seriously considering the HBADA X7 but not sure if it’s overkill

I’ve been looking for a high end ergonomic chair recently and the HBADA X7 keeps popping up everywhere.

The smart lumbar tracking heating massage and ventilation features honestly sound pretty interesting but I cannot tell if they’re genuinely useful or just flashy extras. I spend a lot of hours at my desk so comfort matters more to me than gimmicks.

If anyone here has actually tried the X7 I’d really appreciate some honest feedback before buying one.

I was skeptical about standing desks - until I tried one

After going fully remote I finally realized how much of a difference a standing desk can make. When I sit for long stretches the pressure on my lower back is about twice as high as when I’m standing. Standing helps keep blood moving and delivers more oxygen to the brain. I’ve noticed my focus stays steadier throughout the day.

Now I’m on the hunt for a good-quality standing desk. Any recommendations from people who’ve actually used one for a while?

Where can I get butcher block top in a specific size that won't be too horribly expensive?

Looking through home depot and I see this 6 ft x 25 in butcher block for $230 and that seems pretty reasonable. Problem is I'd really like something in a specific length to maximize my space and it'd need to be between 63in and 67in. Anyone know where I can get something with more options for length?

Searching Linak EXPERIENCE; ideally in Desk Frame 10, else Desk Frame 1

Hi, I came upon the new Linak EXPERIENCE

https://www.linak.com/news/2025/09/17/experience-columns/

and completely failed finding a seller.

They should be kinda easy to spot with 80mm/s and 240kg static capacity as well as the new PFAS free certificate. But I just couldn't.

Since there are some sellers here as well, do you or any one you know sell the new EXPERIENCE products from Linak?

Desk Frames 10 is also the new Frames with higher stability than Frame 1 - but the English site doesn't mention it yet. But as long as I can avoid the click system im fine.

How to fix scratches on desk

I ordered a used flexi spot desk for my gaming setup. The tabletop I bought is dark bamboo wood though it came with some lighter colored scratches.

Is there any way I can fix this? Please drop in the comments if there is any diy ways I can get rid of the scratches on my desk! Thank you!!

Built a custom 4-leg standing desk with my own controller - anyone willing to check how the legs in your desk are wired?"

Hi guys. For the last few months I've been building my (really) custom standing desk for my workplace. I didn't find any solution I really liked — they're either overpriced, locked down, have ugly controllers, or have zero smart home integration. So I decided to build my own from the ground up. I found they sometimes sell only the motorized legs as a spare part for commercially sold standing desk frames. I kinda wanted the 4-legged design with legs spaced in the corners. I had some 2 m by 0.9 m chipboard deck with concrete finish lying around, so I just stick-welded a basic frame to screw the legs onto. Then came the hard part — driving the legs and keeping the table stable. After a few iterations I came up with a driver PCB with an ESP32-P4+C6 module and DRV8873S as a motor driver.

There's an RJ45 connector for a control panel which can be made of simple up/down buttons or some other smarter solution — I'm currently working on an LCD control screen.

There's also a 24V output for a CCT LED strip (I'm planning to build a desk lamp), an mmWave radar connector for presence detection and sit/stand time monitoring, and a pair of QWIIC connectors for some sensors. MQTT support and Home Assistant integration are also planned.

One thing I'm still curious about is how other legs (the ones available around the world) are wired. I started my project by disassembling one to find out there's a simple 24V/4.5A-rated DC motor and a pair of Hall ICs forming a quadrature encoder for position feedback. In my case they're connected as you can see in the attached picture. If someone has some legs and basic measuring equipment within their reach, can you please check your legs? I mean those attached to your desk.

Happy to share more details if anyone's curious.

Thinking about getting this ergonomic chair for my sister’s birthday?

My sister turns 35 on June 10 and I’ve been trying to find a birthday gift she’ll actually use every day instead of buying something random.

She works from home full time and complains about lower back pain pretty often. She’s also pretty petite (around 5'3" and skinny), so comfort and fit matter a lot. The funny thing is she absolutely loves cherry blossom aesthetics and basically everything in her apartment is pink, so when I came across the pink HBADA E3 Pro it instantly reminded me of her.

My only hesitation is the price. It’s around $449, which is definitely more than I originally planned to spend on a birthday gift since I was hoping to stay under $300.

I’m also wondering whether ergonomic chairs like this feel too big for smaller framed women or if the adjustability usually makes up for it.

Any women here using ergonomic chairs for long WFH hours? Would genuinely love to hear real experiences before I pull the trigger because I mainly want something that’ll actually help her feel more comfortable while working.

Looking for adjustable standing desk frame, 32-inch wide.

I'm looking to convert a mid-sized drafting table to a standing drafting table. All the frames I'm seeing on Amazon and other sources don't adjust down to a 32-inch width, which is what I need for the plan.

Anyone have suggestions?
