DIY Controller?

I've been searching through posts and I see a lot of "DIY builds" but they are all purchased legs with motor and controller, and a DIY top. I also see a lot of "Replacement Controller" posts with very little success of finding a working replacement.

I find myself with a 3 year old desk (Claiks) from Amazon that the controller went out and the manufacturer no longer offers parts for. My current options appear to be:

  1. I now have a desk that is only good for sitting and my walking pad collects dust.

  2. I throw away an otherwise perfectly good desk and buy another.

  3. I figure out a way to bring my desk and motor back to life with a new controller.

My question is this, does anyone offer a universal controller? Or some guidance on assembling the hardware and programming an arduino/ESP32/R-Pi to take it's place?
