My son is 15 and has both R-CPD and a stutter. I’m trying to figure out whether the two could be connected in some way. He holds a tremendous amount of tension in his neck and throat, both when speaking and from the R-CPD symptoms.

He’s really struggling right now, so I’ve been doing as much research as I can. We’ve seen two doctors who have extensive experience treating R-CPD, but neither specializes in stuttering. We’re planning to move forward with the Botox treatment as soon as possible.

I’d love to hear whether anyone has seen similar overlap. Thanks
