1st pull - 1kg A/B. Gooed on me. Can I wash (recrystallize)?
What's up y'all? So this is my 3rd extract. So far, everything is going well. I use ACRB so I know the NMT goo is likely gonna happen. And even though I'm extremely confident no soup was pulled, I do want to "clean" up my final result. I'm using naphtha so I'd like to use that for recrystallizing, so any tips would be helpful. (Tek breakdown below)
Edit: I am aware that ACRB had NMT, resulting in said goo. I actually like the goo so my goal isn't to have no. Gooey crystals but have a clean, safe end product.
Water/vinegar boil for 1 hr and 45 minutes 4 times (verified ph of 3)
Contents poured into the 2nd pot and reduced to 2500ml
Split into 2 half gallon jugs (roughly 1250 per)
Let sit til room temperature (aka bed time)
Added 125g of lye in 25g increments (verified ph of 13)
Added 500ml of Naphtha to each jar.
Shake jars for 90 seconds, rest 90 seconds*
After 4-6 shake/rests, set jars in pots with boiled water (heat turned off - my way of hearing the jars without fire risk)*
Pulled and put on Pyrex and freeze for roughly 20 hours
Pull out and pour excess Naphtha back in jars
Use a blow dryer on cool to dry off excess Naphtha
Let sit in front of fan as I work on 2nd pull
Scrapped dish and transfer to plate and spread out as much as I can to get any trapped Naphtha (plate currently in front of fan).
