Kilt style skirts
Do you ever see the old kilt style netball skirts worn during games? They were standard when I was a kid but now its always flared style like Gilbert.

I have only stayed in a dorm with complete strangers once however I noticed a very clear code of silence in the dorm. Everyone keeping to themselves, no talking or getting anyones way. This was a mixed dorm so that might make a difference. There were social events in the hostel eg board games, gin tasting or tours which gave good interaction but the dorm was very own business. Stark contrast to the school trip dorms with classmates, which by law was same sex.
What are others experiences? Do you prefer no interaction or a more social vibe in the room?
I've only once stayed in a mixed hostel dorm (with strangers) but it was a "pod" setup so everyone had privacy in their own pod. Next week I'm staying in a mixed dorm with more typical bunk beds where everyone is in full view. How have others felt with this? How are people about sleep attire in mixed dorms? I sweat really easily and prefer to sleep in underwear which is fine if you have privacy in bed itself. Put some clothes back on to go to the bathroom of course. How does changing work? Go to the bathroom or choose your moment in the room?
Looking for a camping style kettle to keep in the car capable of boiling water for single cups of tea. I did find a kettle with a cigarette charger (12V) but am worried this will drain the car battery so won't use it. So maybe a powerbank I can use instead of the car socket, or kettle with a strong enough battery to take out the home and recharge afterwards. Even "travel kettles" usually have a cord needing plugged in. Jetboil sounds a bit dangerous for the car.
Probably been asked before but technology is evolving all the time.
Just to make clear I'm in the UK.
