Should I extend the exhaust or good enough?

Recently added this guy to my garage in hopes of not freezing my butt off again this winter, the other one in my garage has the fresh air intake inside, I do woodworking and don’t have an air cleaner, so the combustion fan got full of sawdust, wouldn’t fire, and I had to take it all apart when it was -40*C outside 🥶 so I’d rather not have that happen again this winter, but now I’m second-guessing if I’m going to have an issue with exhaust fumes going in my air intake? How far should they really be apart from each other?

Started by inheriting one from my late grandpa, 8 months later….

I think I may have caught some sort of bug but man, something about these beautiful tools tickles my fancy like no other, anyone else have the same issue? In 8 months I’ve acquired 26 bench planes (everything but a no.2 size/no.7 size), almost 30 moulding planes, 2 no.45’s (1 was a complete box set) and various other planes. I’m 26M so any older gents that have been handling planes longer then I’ve been alive that would like to share some knowledge to a young fella I’m more then happy to listen and learn from you 🙏 and one last comment, who else has picked up a 140+ year old wooden foreplane and wish you knew the history of that tool, how far it travelled over the years, who the man that built a life with that very block of wood, idk just gives me goosebumps to know I have working tools that have not only survived not 1 but 2 world wars, survived longer then any person who was around when it was first made, that sorta thing. If you’ve read this far, thank you and I hope you’re having an amazing rest of your day!
