MOH Speech Input
Hi!! My sister’s wedding is on Saturday and it’s my first time being a bridesmaid, let alone MOH. I am stressing over the speech and not sure if it’s too long or if I bring up myself too much. Any feedback is appreciated!!!
Hi everyone, my name is ME. And if you don’t know me, I am one of BRIDE maids of honor and also her favorite sibling.
Forewarning, BRIDE says I’m the most emotional person ever so be prepared.
To start, BRIDE is the epitome of what it means to be the eldest daughter. Whether it’s a Mother’s Day or Father’s Day card, she will be the one to buy it and sign it for all of us, and you bet she’s including all the fur babies. She keeps us all in check and is the glue of our siblings and family in general.
When we were younger, if she had something, I wanted it too. If her room was covered wall to wall in One Direction posters, mine was too. She’s always been the cool older sister.
During 2020, both my brothers moved back home for a few months and we were lucky enough to have the 6 of us under the same roof again, the first time since 2013. Unfortunately, we were in a four bedroom house with four kids meaning I got kicked out of my room and BRIDE and I became roommates. Thank you BROTHER!
Some may think sharing your room with your sister would be a blast, but not when you’re 15 and 23. She would get mad at me for watching TikTok’s or playing Fortnite and I would get mad at her for waking me up with her creepy sleep talking. I think we can agree one is arguably worse.
Even though we did have many, MANY arguments, this brought us closer and was secretly a blessing. Because little did I know, she would be moving out after that which broken 16 year old ME heart. Some may say I was sad she because I wouldn’t get to live with my sister, others may say it was because I had to live alone with my mom and dad. So fun!! In the fall after she moved out, her and GROOM officially started dating and my mom and I got to meet him.
We met GROOM at dinner (shoutout RESTAURANT) and ultimately I was like what the hell. I did not expect BRIDE to pull up with a buff tatted guy. I honestly don’t remember much from that night because I was so weirded out by the fact that BRIDE was with a man, and not only that, holding his hand, stroking his arm. I do remember filming them from under the table to send to my best friend and now we die laughing at it.
Laughing is a very common occurrence in all of our interactions and I would not have it any other way. You guys should see us at some family dinners, pants have been peed in and tears of laughter are always shed.
As the self proclaimed funny person in the family, I will say GROOM has some jokes. There is no one that roasts me as hard as him and no one that will take my roasts back as well. Now we all know GROOM has only one brother so I just want to say you’re welcome for being the little sister you never had to humble.
As cool as GROOM is, his family might be cooler. We are so lucky our families blended how they have. I mean for my parents weekend at COLLEGE, instead of having everyone come to TOWN, we went to MOG and FOG in CITY. With our families together, it’s always a party… I mean you guys should have seen my mom and MOG at FAMILY BABY first birthday off the Hennessy.
Now before I end, I just wanted to say congratulations again to the LAST NAME. Thank you BRIDE so much for marrying JEFF because now I get to eat his mom’s salsa for the rest of life (if u know u know.) And I don’t say it very often but I love you guys. Thanks.
