Need advice: is it better to use Wio to pay off Noon mashreq cc?
Need some advice from people who’ve dealt with UAE credit cards/balance transfers. I’m not an avid cc user so lack knowledge.
I currently have around AED 7k pending on my Noon Mashreq card. I was managing it fine before and usually paying more than double the minimum due every month, but recently had salary cuts plus unexpected medical expenses, which is honestly why the card balance built up in the first place.
Now I can mostly only afford a little above the minimum payment, and Mashreq interest rates are brutal. Watching the balance barely move is stressing me out.
I already use Wio to track spending and save a little and was wondering if it makes sense to pay off/transfer the balance through Wio somehow, or if there’s a smarter option people recommend in the UAE right now.
I’m not a huge credit card spender normally, which is probably why this whole thing is mentally eating at me a bit.
Would appreciate practical advice from anyone who’s been through something similar:
• Balance transfer options?
• Installment conversion with Mashreq?
• Better bank alternatives?
• Anything I should avoid doing?
Thanks!
