Tabby 3.0 updates

tabby shared some updated T&C tabby.ai/en-AE/legal/kfs-card/3.0.0

Key differences

1) Rollover fee (major increase)

Impact:

  • Now explicitly tied to risk profile / credit history

2) Installment (payment plan) pricing – significantly higher cap

Out-of-network purchases

Impact:

  • Substantial increase in maximum borrowing cost
  • More flexibility (up to 12 installments), but at higher cost

3) Fee structure change (example in illustration)

Impact:

  • Shift from upfront fee → distributed fee model
  • Likely improves user cash flow perception

4) Collection (late) charges – higher penalties

Balance v2 max fee v3 max fee

I built a privacy-first app to track multiple UAE credit cards, spending and net worth [Giveaway]

Managing multiple UAE credit cards is honestly more painful than it should be.

Every card lives in a different banking app. Expense tracking is messy. Reminders are inconsistent. Most finance apps either need bank logins, do a poor job with UAE workflows, or make money in ways that feel uncomfortable when the data is this sensitive.

So I built arc, a privacy-first budgeting, expense tracking, and net worth platform for people juggling multiple bank accounts, credit cards, currencies, subscriptions, and investments.

The main idea is simple: your financial data should work for you, not become someone else’s business model.

What makes arc different:

  • We don’t monetize your financial data
  • We don’t rely on ads
  • Each user gets an isolated server
  • End-to-end encryption is supported using the same Signal protocol architecture
  • arc is built on top of the open-source Actual Budget engine

arc already supports bank connectors in the US and EU, and we plan to support UAE open banking as soon as it becomes available locally.

Some UAE-relevant features:

  • Apple Pay imports for Tap-to-Pay transactions
  • Bank PDF imports for statements and screenshots
  • Natural language logging, like “Spent 120 AED on coffee”
  • Multi-currency accounts: AED, USD, EUR, CHF, etc.
  • Credit card repayment reminders
  • Subscription tracking
  • Budgeting and category limits
  • Goals and net worth tracking
  • Portfolio tracking from broker screenshots
  • Browser-based desktop UI with spreadsheet-style workflows and charts
  • Siri Shortcuts and custom APIs
  • AI Agent CLI for analysis, budgeting help, compliance forms, and custom workflows

I built this because I’m a UAE resident myself and couldn’t find a privacy-focused budgeting app that handled the way people here actually use multiple cards, banks, currencies, and subscriptions.

Website: https://arc.moi

We make money from subscriptions, not from selling or monetizing your financial data.

Giveaway for r/UAEcreditcards:

We’re running an ongoing giveaway that ends on May 31, 2026.

We’ll randomly pick 5 winners, and each winner will get a free 1-year arc membership.

To enter:

  1. Sign up for arc and purchase the 1-month plan
  2. Comment on this thread
  3. Join the Discord giveaway channel: https://discord.gg/HHWYcvhrW

Would genuinely love feedback from heavy UAE credit card users here. Especially if you manage multiple cards, track cashback, split expenses across currencies, or use cards mainly for miles and rewards.

DubaiFirst App Issue - Unable to login

Anybody else facing the same issue? It’s been this way since yesterday. Called the customer care, they said it would take their team 3-5 days to respond. Curious if its just me or if others are facing this too 🤔

Best UAE credit card for travel/hotel benefits as self-employed real estate business owner?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some practical advice from people who have recently applied for premium credit cards in UAE, especially as a self-employed/business owner.

My profile:

UAE resident

Self-employed / business owner

Industry: real estate services

Looking mainly for travel, hotel/staycation, lounge, and rewards benefits

I prefer to pay full outstanding every month, not interested in instalments or carrying balance

I travel internationally a few times a year, mostly Emirates, and also do 1–2 hotel/staycation trips yearly

I was interested in the Emirates NBD Marriott Bonvoy World Elite card because of the welcome bonus, Marriott Gold, annual free night, and hotel benefits. However, one agent told me ENBD is currently not accepting/approving applications for real estate company owners.

Can anyone confirm if this is true currently?

Also looking for recommendations for cards that are actually approvable for a real estate business owner and give good value for:

hotel/staycation rewards

travel benefits

lounge access

airline miles or flexible rewards

decent annual fee vs benefit

Cards I’m considering:

ENBD Marriott Bonvoy World Elite

ADCB Traveller

FAB Travel

Emirates Islamic Skywards Black

any other strong travel/hotel card

Would appreciate feedback from actual users or bank agents who know current eligibility rules. I’m not looking to apply randomly and get rejected, so pre-check/eligibility clarity matters.

Thanks.

I also maintain active company banking relationships with DIB and Mashreq, with average balances generally above AED 50k+, so I’m open to cards from banks where existing relationship / average balance can help with approval.

Agents can DM me, but please only if you can clearly confirm current eligibility for self-employed real estate business owners before applying.

ENBD Duo Card – 5% Education Cashback Issue (Anyone else faced this?)

I used my ENBD Duo card to pay an education fee on 12 April 2026, which should qualify for 5% cashback. The cashback was supposed to be credited around 10 May, but the amount I received is clearly incorrect.

I’ve raised multiple complaints through the ENBD X app, but they keep closing the tickets saying the points are correct. I even called customer support, and the agent agreed the cashback looks wrong.

Still no resolution after all this.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with Duo cashback? Any tips on how to get this properly resolved?

RAKBANK RED Mastercard for OFWs — Worth It vs ADCB Essential?

Hi everyone! I’m considering getting the RAKBANK RED Mastercard Credit Card and wanted to ask for honest feedback from people who are currently using it.

For context:
My salary is only around the minimum qualifying range, so I’m trying to choose wisely and avoid cards with high annual fees or very high spending requirements. That’s why I’m currently comparing cards like ADCB Essential and RAKBANK RED.

My main usage would be:

  • groceries and dining (AED 1.2k to 2k)
  • sending money to the Philippines monthly (around PHP 40k–80k)
  • occasional online shopping and subscriptions

I’m particularly interested in:

  • how good/consistent the cashback actually is in real life
  • whether the cashback categories are worth it
  • experience with the “1 free international remittance per month”
  • exchange rates for UAE to Philippines transfers compared to Al Ansari or exchange houses
  • hidden fees, catches, or things you wish you knew before getting the card
  • app experience and customer service

Would you recommend it for an OFW setup focused on savings and monthly remittances? Or is ADCB Essential still a better overall option?

Would really appreciate honest reviews from actual users. Thank you!

Even if your credit card is unused, UAE banks may still count it as a liability during mortgage calculations.

Many buyers are surprised when they qualify for less than expected — and high credit card limits are often one of the hidden reasons.

Most banks consider 5% of your total Credit Card limit under your DBR (Debt Burden Ratio).
