Need advice regarding Emirates NBD credit card debt

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my Emirates NBD credit card.
I have an outstanding balance of around AED 20,000, and my payment has been delayed for about 60 days. I recently received an email stating that my card has been permanently blocked and that the outstanding amount has been transferred to a third party for recovery.
I have already emailed the bank to ask about resolving the situation, but I haven't received any response.
Has anyone been through a similar situation with ENBD? What is the best way to handle this at this stage? Can I still request an installment/payment plan or negotiate a settlement with the bank or the third-party collection agency?
I want to resolve the debt and avoid the situation getting worse. Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Dont fear or worry to take a credit card with annual fees, dont be like me guys !

Last 5 years I have salary account with Liv bank and 3 years ago I applied for the liv credit card and they rejected saying you are not eligible, I told them to close my account and they changed their stance and offer me a credit card and she gave 2 options,

1 - LIV CB plus with 700 aed annual fees 4% cashback

2 - LIV CB with free for life with 2% cashback

I feared for the 700 aed annual fees and took free for life card

But now every single day I am thinking about the mistake I did

Now minimum 20k salary needed for liv cb plus and I am not eligible for that card and needed 40k FD

Need advice on fixing my AECB / credit profile in the UAE

Around 2 years ago, I had some credit card issues which I eventually fully cleared. Strangely, after settling everything, my AECB score dropped to around 300.

Since then I’ve been trying to rebuild it properly. I kept my payments on time, had a full-year apartment contract where I was paying through monthly cheques, and over time my score recovered all the way to 668.

Then around 2 months ago, I had a cheque returned because of an issue related to a hospital payment, which was genuinely a mistake.

Now despite having a stable job, salary, and a much better score, I still seem unable to access basically any banking products.

I’m not trying to take crazy loans or debt. I just want to properly fix my banking profile, eventually be able to finance a car, and have a normal relationship with banks again.

Has anyone gone through something similar? What would you recommend doing from here, and is there any way to get the old issues properly reviewed instead of just waiting indefinitely?

Why is my credit score this low

Have no idea why it is this low. I have a house that I paid off early with yearly partial payments. 2 cars that I have also paid off early.

I have only 1 credit card, which I pay off daily based on what I spend. No loans whatsoever.

Same time, my income utilization is at 10% even though I have zero loans etc

UAE credit card debt – AED 50K+ debt, salary AED 4,500. What should I do?

Hi everyone,

I need advice from anyone who has dealt with UAE credit-card debt/collections.

I have 4 cards with total debt of around AED 53,000+:

  • ENBD: ~AED 26,000
  • Aafaq: ~AED 17,500
  • FAB: ~AED 7,500
  • ADCB: ~AED 5,000

My salary is AED 4,500/month, and after rent and basic family expenses, I have very little left.

Banks/collection agencies are contacting me and mentioning legal action. I am not refusing to pay and have been requesting hardship settlements, but the amounts offered are unaffordable.

For anyone with similar UAE experience:

  • What happens if a civil case is filed?
  • Is it better to keep negotiating?
  • Can significant hardship discounts be obtained?
  • Are there legitimate debt-help organizations?

Any practical advice would be greatly appreciated.

e& money's “Zero FX Fees” offer still charges a 1% currency conversion fee 🤔

Has anyone actually used the e& money card abroad recently and checked the settled AED amount?

I'd also be interested to know whether the stated 1% is simply added to the underlying card-network conversion rate or whether the final rate is constructed differently.

Advice to reduce ENBD Credit Card debt

I have a Noon ENBD Credit Card with a balance given to me of AED 25000. I have maxed out almost up to AED 24000 till date. My expenses from the card (Groceries, DEWA & Internet) are around AED 4000. I pay AED 4500 as CC bill every month but end up using this again for the monthly expenses as I wont have any money left after paying rentals of AED 3700 & EMI for ENBD loan of AED 1008.

On the 25th every month (when CC bill is generated), I am also charged AED 900 - 950 which gets deducted from the CC balance as interest for the outstanding amount.

I know I need to pay the same amount every month and stop using the CC so that the balance gradually reduces in 5 - 6 months but unable to because of rent and loan EMI.

I am working for a firm now (last 6 months) which has not given me a Work Permit as yet (have own visa). Hence unable to show bank the salary credits to upgrade my current ENBD loan (15K more pending). I am pushing them to process my labour card at the earliest as this would help me to atleast request for a top up and pay off the CC and only pay the EMI of the loan (which will have much lesser interest).

Can you please advice me how I can regulate this and ensure that I bring down the total outstanding in 5 - 6 months? Is there a way that I am not seeing at this time?

Spend of 70k

As title suggests which card has a good joining bonus.

Already have Voyager, Enbd Marriott

Don't want Skywards as the miles are practically pointless, any Etihad card or any other card which has a spend joining bonus?
