Best UAE credit card for travel/hotel benefits as self-employed real estate business owner?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some practical advice from people who have recently applied for premium credit cards in UAE, especially as a self-employed/business owner.
My profile:
UAE resident
Self-employed / business owner
Industry: real estate services
Looking mainly for travel, hotel/staycation, lounge, and rewards benefits
I prefer to pay full outstanding every month, not interested in instalments or carrying balance
I travel internationally a few times a year, mostly Emirates, and also do 1–2 hotel/staycation trips yearly
I was interested in the Emirates NBD Marriott Bonvoy World Elite card because of the welcome bonus, Marriott Gold, annual free night, and hotel benefits. However, one agent told me ENBD is currently not accepting/approving applications for real estate company owners.
Can anyone confirm if this is true currently?
Also looking for recommendations for cards that are actually approvable for a real estate business owner and give good value for:
hotel/staycation rewards
travel benefits
lounge access
airline miles or flexible rewards
decent annual fee vs benefit
Cards I’m considering:
ENBD Marriott Bonvoy World Elite
ADCB Traveller
FAB Travel
Emirates Islamic Skywards Black
any other strong travel/hotel card
Would appreciate feedback from actual users or bank agents who know current eligibility rules. I’m not looking to apply randomly and get rejected, so pre-check/eligibility clarity matters.
Thanks.
I also maintain active company banking relationships with DIB and Mashreq, with average balances generally above AED 50k+, so I’m open to cards from banks where existing relationship / average balance can help with approval.
Agents can DM me, but please only if you can clearly confirm current eligibility for self-employed real estate business owners before applying.
