I built a privacy-first app to track multiple UAE credit cards, spending and net worth [Giveaway]
Managing multiple UAE credit cards is honestly more painful than it should be.
Every card lives in a different banking app. Expense tracking is messy. Reminders are inconsistent. Most finance apps either need bank logins, do a poor job with UAE workflows, or make money in ways that feel uncomfortable when the data is this sensitive.
So I built arc, a privacy-first budgeting, expense tracking, and net worth platform for people juggling multiple bank accounts, credit cards, currencies, subscriptions, and investments.
The main idea is simple: your financial data should work for you, not become someone else’s business model.
What makes arc different:
- We don’t monetize your financial data
- We don’t rely on ads
- Each user gets an isolated server
- End-to-end encryption is supported using the same Signal protocol architecture
- arc is built on top of the open-source Actual Budget engine
arc already supports bank connectors in the US and EU, and we plan to support UAE open banking as soon as it becomes available locally.

- Apple Pay imports for Tap-to-Pay transactions
- Bank PDF imports for statements and screenshots
- Natural language logging, like “Spent 120 AED on coffee”

I built this because I’m a UAE resident myself and couldn’t find a privacy-focused budgeting app that handled the way people here actually use multiple cards, banks, currencies, and subscriptions.
