So... do you think I could fix this before I replace it?

I crashed while riding my bike and the tire did this weird, bendy thing. I removed the tire and I could easily just replace it but I'm wondering if it can be fixed before I do. It looks like the metal is just bent out of place, so maybe I could bend it back? Would that ruin the tire?
