New essay about The Doors and Jim Morrison (free)
I just published this free essay on why I've been listening to The Doors for almost 40 years, and tackle the question of whether they still matter in 2026. (Spoiler: they do). While I am a former newspaper reporter, mostly recently with NY Times-owned The Athletic, I am not a music writer but I hope you enjoy regardless!
