I have two credit cards I had to stop paying, one at 9k and one at 7k. They're both in collections. I plan on settling eventually but the settlement amounts are still very high and I'm not moving quite yet so not sure how quickly I should take care of this. I have other cards and loans with perfect history. My rental history and utilities are perfect. My score is a 670 but will go up within the next month due to a repayment I just made elsewhere. Will credit cards in collections deter me from renting or do they care more about score and rental history?
