Fungal infection? BV? Help
I have had chronic vulvar irritation for almost a year now. The symptoms come and go. And are usually worse at night. Sometimes I have thick and clumpy discharge, but at other times it’s thin/clear. It doesn’t have an odor. The most noticeable symptom I have is the thin/fragile irritated and inflamed skin as well as some minor itching. I have been treated for BV in the past 6 months with no relief of symptoms. I was also tested for STDs in Feb and was negative. Has anyone else experienced this? I cannot figure out what is causing this excruciatingly annoying problem. I feel hopeless. It’s like a never ending cycle of not feeling right down there. Could this be a hormonal problem? I have had a mirena IUD for ~10 years and wondering if it’s related to that. Idk I feel helpless and like my dr won’t listen to my concerns.
