Lightweight petticoat or slip for sheer wedding dress?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on what to wear underneath my sheer wedding dress. I have two reference photos attached to show what I've tried so far:
Photo 1: Here I have a mid-thigh slip underneath. I don’t really like this option because the dress is sheer enough that you can clearly see the bottom of my legs, and I'd prefer full coverage.
Photo 2: Here I'm wearing a petticoat underneath. I absolutely love the look and shape this gives the dress! However, it is incredibly heavy and way too hot for me, especially with the wedding being in August.
Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations for what I can wear underneath? I'm hoping to find something that gives the beautiful silhouette and leg-coverage of a petticoat, but is made of a much lighter, breathable material so I don't melt on the big day.
Any specific brands, styles, or fabric recommendations would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance!
