EB-1A chances for an academic researcher?

Looking for opinions from people who have filed EB-1A, especially academics/scientists.

I’m a biomedical researcher based outside the US, currently an independent group leader/PI but without tenure. Don’t have a EU passport obviously.

Quick profile:
ERC-funded researcher
~1,600 citations (1,470 since 2021)
h-index 15, i10-index 21
20+ peer-reviewed publications, including first/senior/corresponding-author papers in high-impact journals
50+ completed peer reviews across ~10 journals
100+ review invitations
In international grant-review panels/committees

Lead a research team of ~15 people
Competitive national/international research funding
Invited international scientific talks

I think I can make a strong case for authorship, judging, original contributions of major significance, and leading/critical role.

My main concern is final merits rather than meeting 3 criteria.
For those familiar with academic EB-1A cases: Would you consider this strong enough to file now? How important would recommendation letters and field-normalized citation data be? Any obvious weaknesses or areas USCIS might challenge?
I’m intentionally leaving out institutions, research topic, publications and specific awards/funding details for anonymity.

UPDATE: Not living in the US, is that going to lead to a straight up denial?

JIO IR issues - useless support team

I have an active annual Jio International Roaming plan, but my SIM is not connecting to any mobile network while abroad. I have tried manually selecting all the available networks, restarting the phone, toggling airplane mode, resetting network settings, and eSIM on, but nothing has worked.

I have contacted Jio’s specialist international roaming support team several times. Each agent gives me the same automated troubleshooting steps, even though I have already tried them. They then say that someone will contact me through WhatsApp or email within four hours, but I have not received any useful follow-up or resolution.
Because the SIM has no network connection, I cannot receive calls, SMS messages, or banking OTPs, which is causing serious problems.

Has anyone experienced this with Jio international roaming? Any advice on how to get this resolved would be appreciated.

I was thinking if it makes sense to convert it into a physical SIM from a relative in India and get it activated and shipped back abroad to be used. Will that work?

Opening an NRI account without PAN or Aadhaar

I would like to open NRI or NRE account without having aadhaar or PAN card. Is it possible? Are there banks that allow that to happen?

I spoke to ICICI and they said it’s not possible.

I have only passport and voter ID

18+ Aadhaar enrolment rejected due to “technical reason” — what reason could it be?

I recently applied for a new Aadhaar as a resident Indian 18+. My application status now says:
“Aadhaar enrolment request has been rejected due to technical reason.”
No further explanation has been provided.
For the enrolment, I submitted a valid Indian passport as proof of identity/date of birth and a voter ID as proof of address. The passport and voter ID have different addresses, but I specifically requested that the voter ID be used as the address proof.
Has anyone received the same rejection message?

I would appreciate advice on the following:
What are the common reasons for a “technical reason” rejection?
Could it be related to biometric or photograph quality, document scanning, a data-entry error, or a duplicate enrolment check?
Can UIDAI provide the exact reason if I call 1947 or raise a complaint?
Should I re-enrol at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra rather than the same centre?
Is there anything specific I should ask the operator to check during the new enrolment?
Should I use different documents or can I use the same passport and voter ID again?
I have already checked the enrolment status using the EID, and it only displays the generic technical-rejection message.
Any experiences or practical advice would be helpful.
