I am very nonconfrontarional, and my AirBnB has a room with what appears like blood on a wall and ceiling. We took pics of the spots. AI (for whatever that is worth) also thought it looked like blood. I reached out to the host who is coming in while we are out to dinner to clean it. I feel weird about it, especially after finding out a recent shooting occurred in a home in that block (just cant get the exact address from reports). Should I be satisfied with him just cleaning the wall? How would you feel? In total, there are maybe 10 splatter spots, a stain on the floor, and a hole in the carpet in that bedroom.

My doctor is having me try Qelbree, and I just took my first dose today. I have doubts that this is a smart move given this is the first week of school, and I have an insane workload right now on top of teaching/ managing 130 teens daily. I am seeing these side effects posts and questioning how sideways this could go, too.

Background: I was on Concerta for years. But it was wearing off too fast. We added a Ritalin booster in the PM. The Ritalin seemed great. I eventually went to Ritalin 2x a day. As I hit perimenopause (maybe related, idk), everything went to shit: snapping all the time, zero focus, no executive function, ADHD just amplified back to when I was younger. This is why we switched to Qelbree. But we also added an anxiety med (I have been having more frequent panic attacks, etc). I have been taking the anxiety med and Ritalin this past week and a half until I could get my insurance to pay for Qelbree. And... it has been pretty good. I feel in control, organized, motivated to get work done, much more focused. The only change is the anxiety pill! My coworker even noticed.

So... maybe I shouldn't switch after all? I am so confused! I plan to reach out the doctor on Monday but want thoughts from people who take the med. I didnt realize there were this many side effects and how long it took to start "working."

Has anyone transitioned to an instructor's position on a military base? I have a friend who works in Career and Faculty Development on base and loves it. They have never been a public school teacher and are career military, but from what they have shared, it is very different than teaching.

But.. I am tempted to give it a try. I have overhauled my resume to reflect such a career change and am now just waiting for something to open. I am a little worried that I will miss the creativity, but I think I am ready for something slower and more structured. I am just wondering if anyone has experience or insight. Thanks!
