Photo 1 - anatolian/oriental a few of the leafs are showing this darker patches as in the middle leaf, others are yellowing out nicely like the left leaf, and they have a smell, like a mango or avocado sort of smell, could it be mold? They didn't dry all that well?
Photo 2 - Virginia bright leaf, just left it there as a comparison because they were picked on the same day
Photo 1 taken yesterday, photo 2 taken today
Those were bottom leafs that broke or got harmed due to strong winds, I was not caring about the nicotine level, but more about trying the technique
I open everyday, dry them with a paper towel each leaf, shuffle them and wrap it back, around 4 to 6 times a day
Am I doing it right? Any advice?
So, I've found some of this thrips on my burley, only in one so far, any ideas?
My girlfriend said this technique works for her plants, want your advice too
70° degree alcohol, sprayed in leafs, stem, and soil, leave it for around 4 hours or until dry, in the dark, after, bring outside, repeats every 3 days until it disappears.
Anyone knows if alcohol would destroy the tobaccos?
This is one information I haven't found so far, I have 3 different strands, oriental, kentucky and Virginia, to cure the leafs, can they be bundled together, or should I separate by strands?
These are some extra plants I was gonna keep for a friend, but he never came to pick them up, so I just cut them and threw the pots on a corner, now the plants are growing back, I haven't water them since the day before it was cut, can anyone explain how did they managed to grow?
Noticed this marks on a few leafs, is it a disease? Attack from something?
Where I'm living is ranging 30c (86f) to 36c (96f) temperature, with 20% up to 35% humidity.
Last year reached 39c (102f), which we might have again this year.
Any tips on giving them more humidity?
I think for the oriental, it will deal with it just fine, I'm more concerned about the Virginia and Kentucky burley
March 31st to May 25th
Hopefully will be the last repotting, let's see how they grow (I live in apartment, even with a balcony, not enough space)
From first to last
Anatolian
Kentucky burley
Virginia bright leaf
Heavy? Overwater? Not enough water? I have no idea why it's happening, the second photo is from the same batch of Anatolian and looks better
I've noticed some of my repoted plants have been growing these new small leaves, near the base (photo 2), should I cut them or let them grow?
No growing lights, just sun, water and fertilizer
Varieties - Virginia bright leaf, Kentucky burley and Anatolian
