I just passed my test last Wednesday and I've been trying to get out as much as I can for short drives to build up my confidence. After getting home tonight I decided to drive to Tesco 5 minutes from my house. There's a roundabout on the way with a sealed off dead end so you can't go right. For some inexplicably silly reason I decided I needed to be in the right lane as I was turning right later on up the road to access Tesco. I ended up driving on the wrong side of the road probably for around 5/6 seconds because there was a car to my left (in the correct lane) and they were overtaking me (obviously seeing as there was an idiot on the road) there were no cars in the oncoming traffic lane I was in but my God, how dumb! My stomach hurts, I'm scared I'm going to have my licence taken away and part of me feels like giving my licence back. Please tell me it gets better.
