So, not for me but for my grandmother.
She is 68, type 2 diabetic, has suffered two heart attacks.
Context: we found her laying face up on the floor this morning. She vomited and used the bathroom on herself and she aspirated (the doctor told us) her sugar at the hospital was 900. She hit her head during the fall and that’s another thing we are waiting on. They said they are going to do an mri or something to check brain activity(maybe I got the test name wrong, sorry). She is intubated (I think?) they have a machine helping her breathe. She is currently unresponsive. It’s not looking good but wondering if if there’s any possibility she will be okay?
So she is currently at the hospital and they are doing tests. Obviously they will get back with us but curious what anyone thinks caused this?
Diabetic coma? Ketoacidosis???
