Hey, incoming freshman here and I’m trying to understand how to actually choose good classes at Preview.
I get that you register during Preview, but I’m more confused about how to decide what classes to pick. What should I be looking for when building a schedule? What research should I have before going into preview?
If anyone has tips on how to pick solid classes, avoid bad schedules, or just general things you wish you knew before registering, I’d really appreciate it.

I’m an incoming freshman at UF planning to major in finance and minor in real estate, but I’m also really interested in animals and conservation and am considering adding a wildlife ecology and conservation minor, especially since I’ll be coming in with IB credits; I’m trying to figure out if adding a second minor is actually manageable with finance, how difficult and time-consuming the wildlife classes are for someone not science-focused, and whether the minor is even necessary to get involved in conservation trips, study abroad, or fieldwork, or if those opportunities are accessible without it, because I want to explore that interest but don’t want to overload my schedule or hurt my GPA and internship prospects.
