I've got an Intercessor Squad that I've already primed black and now I've got some 1mm chains I would like to add. Should I finish painting them and then prime/paint the chains (black primer + leadbelcher + nuln oil?) to glue them to the finished mini or would it be better to glue the chains and re-prime the whole mini again? Any glue recommendations or just super-glue?

This is my first time adding chains and would appreciate any tips, thanks!
