I have a conundrum. I generally plant my garden for the butterflies and caterpillars. I love watching them and helping them out by having lots of unsprayed food and host plants.

However

In the last year or so I've gotten into citrus , I was planning on indoor outdoor trees.

The grapefruit dropped all of its leaves in late spring just before I brought it outside and has recently grown some very nice ones. Not a lot.

Now I have found more eggs and caterpillars than there are even leaves to support if they all start eating.

Plus this might kill my little tree.

May I ask help with an alternative food source I may offer them to get them to stop 🤷🏻‍♀️😖🙃

I've noticed poops in my yard many times, and have security cameras up for my front door. I recently noticed someone using the lawn for their dog, and the other night I was actually out with my own dog when we ran into each other. They giggled and said that their dog only likes to use my lawn and that not to worry they always pick it up.

It's not like a leash length into my yard. They walk up.past my house into the side yard and walk around the grass far enough into my yard that they are no longer on my front yard camera.

I get along with this neighbor, they live a few blocks up from me. But I can't help but feel upset.

If my dog pulls onto someone's yard I try to direct her away and thought most people do the same.

How would this make you feel or would you just ignore it?

Just annoying as my own dog won't potty in my yard but I still find and accidentally step in poop when I cut the grass.
