I’ve been doing research on the effects of nicotine and sexual / vascular health (particularly in men), and I came across a well written paper on a study conducted on NON-SMOKING MEN. (Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2864030/). TL:DR They made men who don’t smoke or have a nicotine habit, and measured their arousal during an erotic film. They had a 28% DECREASE IN AROUSAL / ERECTILE FUNCTION compared to the placebo.
The issue lies here: how is it that a substance such as nicotine, rarely gets listed with its short term side effects? A 28% decrease is enough to make an experience with a sexual experience go down the drain, and that was only in non-users.
So I decided to try it for myself. I’m (19m) a chronic vaper and smoke on occasion, and had trouble with ED for a while. Knowing it wasn’t psychological, and knowing I had been a nicotine user for 6 years, I decided to run a similar test myself.
LET ME TELL YOU.
The results were ridiculous. Within 48 hours I had my first morning erection in a month, and was able to maintain an erection. I used my vape again, tried doing the same under the exact same circumstances, and lo and behold I was back to abnormal function.
Here’s my question: did anyone here struggle with ED during your addiction and did/how did it resolve?
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: I quit watching porn a year and a half ago, and also slowed down my masturbation to maybe once every couple months. Libido was absolutely still there, just couldn’t get my member past 75% nonetheless hold it for a full sexual encounter.
