Hi, my name is Daniel and I have a Motorola MOTOTRBO R2 portable radio that was originally programmed for work on a repeater system. I’d like to have it reprogrammed for personal/home use here in my local area. Specifically, I want the radio set up so it can be used alone in direct/simplex mode (no repeater needed) for communication with one or two other similar radios at home or on my property. I’d also like it configured to easily switch to private simplex channels for group use with my other radios. Very new to comms trying to learn tactical comms sorry if the question is stupid.
