Is $100 CAD for a 5mg vial of retatrutide overpriced? Also, is 5mg/month too low?

I’m in Canada and I’m trying to get some perspective. A coworker’s boyfriend said he could get me retatrutide, and I paid $100 CAD for a 5mg vial.
I’m not asking for sources or vendor recommendations. I’m just wondering if this sounds overpriced or like a red flag, especially since retatrutide is still not officially approved.
I’m also confused about the dosing. If the vial is 5mg total, would using 5mg per month be considered too low for weight loss? From what I understand, a lot of the clinical trial dosing seems to be based on weekly injections, so I’m not sure how to think about “5mg per month.”
For context, I’m a 30-year-old male, around 180cm / 88kg, and I’ve been doing consistent strength training for a little over 6 months. My goal is mainly fat loss while keeping as much muscle as possible.
I’m not looking for medical advice or dosing instructions, just trying to understand whether the price and amount sound reasonable, or whether I should avoid this entirely and speak with a doctor about safer options.
