Tonsillectomy needed?
So my wife has had a problem of sleeping with her mouth wide open, and loud snoring, every night for a while now.
In addition to this - at least once a month, sometimes more, she will complain of having a sore throat or pain when swallowing, but it normally clears within a couple of days.
And lastly - occasionally - when she wakes up there will be some blood in her spit. Small amount but still visible.
Am I right to think this could all be related to her tonsils?
I will be booking her an appointment with the doctor, but I just wanted to see whether a tonsillectomy would be the solution here or if there is anything else to try first.
