To genio or not to genio
The million dollar question at hand for me is should I get a genio alongside my lower jaw advancement? Last time I met my surgeon he was unsure about it too saying you might not need it because your chin projection is good. But said we’ll reassess closer to surgery. The decompensation for me has been absolutely brutal and hopefully I’ll see him again soon.
Although I agree my chin projection is decent considering my recessed jaw, I’m more concerned about the lack of facial height in my lower third. I have a bad case of short face syndrome. Maybe a vertical genio would be the best move?
Also would you get upper jaw advancement/rotation as well if you were me? For context I’m 31M and would like a strong masculine profile but also a bit wary of over advancement.
