I (17M) need advice on how to end a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend (17F).
Me and my girlfriend have been together for six months now, and we are long distance. We met in school, but she moved away. When she came back to visit, we got together right after she left. We've been together since, worked through issues, and she's planning another trip a few months away. The problem is, I'm growing unhappy.
Recently, I've been stressed out due to school and work, and I've been pulling away. Anytime I stop doing things first or inviting her to call or play games, they stop altogether. We spoke about it three months ago when I noticed I started it all, but it's happening again. In my process of pulling back, I know it's hurting her as well, and I don't want that for her. All of that, and our plans after high school don't align whatsoever. I love her a lot, and she's my best friend, but I don't want to continue this. I want to be able to go out with someone, be comforted and work through things face to face, and have a partner who's active in my family as well.
There are more issues, but that's the premise. How do I end it?
