Is it okay to give a flat discount to the whole collection if the stock is moving slowly? Isn't it the reason to get good sale but not profitable?

Are they manually deciding discounts for abandoned cart products or just relying on bulk discounts?

Giving flat discount is really the right way to increase their sales even if it eats their profit margin?
