After a guy slammed into my previous car, I bought a 2014 Kia Cadenza premium almost a year ago b/c finding a newer Cadenza was hard to come by in the Triad in NC. Worst Cadenza yr.
I a small crack in the antenna shark fin has developed into a large crack. One of MANY issues is that I found out that they require changing out wiring running through the roof, not just connecting to to a new fin.

I have two questions:

1. Since I don’t know what the inside of the fin’s shell looks like, any opinions/experience with swapping the interior wiring of a new 2015+ fin shell guts with those of the cracked 2014 shell. How can I tell the difference, and will it work?

2. Looking at the base, I think this may have happened before and someone just glued a generic hollow shell over the original fin. Advise how I’m going to get it all off the car to get a new antenna without scratching the paint?
