Nags Head Woods Preserve, Nags Head, NC

Beautiful preserve on the outer banks with plenty of wildlife and a good view of the sound!

NC continually trashy.

Come on NC govt! If you don't give locals a place to easily dispose of their trash they will continue to tossing it off the side of the road. Put dumpsters in a rural areas!! "Convenient dispose centers" that you have to pay for and are not open often enough are not the answer. You have the tax money. Fix this. Great ride on the motorcycle stopped for a hopeful view. Yeah I got a view.

There’s two type of people… On the same road. (Rural Hall)

I live in Winston-salem and drove through Rural hall to try a restaurant… this was funny to me.

I finally get to revisit Asheville again after almost a decade!

I’m so excited. I know a lot has changed and a lot has been added. I’m going to the biltmore and pinbal museum but does anyone have any suggestions on attractions to visit or places to go when you’re over in west Asheville?

License plate stickers going away as NCDOT gets electronic reboot

Any privacy and security concerns about these upcoming digital changes to driver's license and registration in NC? I have several but the first paragraph of this Winston-Salem Journal article (7/5/26) really got my attention...

>When North Carolina motorists are asked by law enforcement officers to present their license and registration, they will be handing over their phone beginning on Oct. 1.

Really?! We'll have to actually surrender our phones to a police officer. Don't like the sound of that at all.

Wilmington Restaurants

Hey Guys just moved out here with the wife and son to the triad. Wife and I are celebrating our 12 yr wedding anniversary on the 11th. It's our first time in Wilmington that weekend and would like a nice restaurant to enjoy a steak that has a kid's menu as well. Any other places that would be cool to check out?

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Thank you folks

who is she

Staying in Little Switzerland for the first time, and there’s this big plateau-esque formation that we can see in the mountains. Does anyone know what this specific mountain(? plateau?) is?

Anyone know of good areas to stay in and avoid fireworks?

My dog just gets worse and worse with fireworks. We use trazadone, cbd, thundershirt, ear muffs, noise machines. This year we had to sleep in the closet with him. We need to get out of town somewhere quieter next year. Anyone know of any areas in or around North Carolina we can rent for 4th of July weekend that are relatively quiet?
